Oven or Air Fryer Kale Chips (Vegan & Keto)

Kale chips are a light, crispy, and flavorful snack, perfect for those following a keto or vegan diet. With just a few ingredients and very little time, you can prepare a healthy alternative to potato chips, low in carbs and rich in nutrients. Ideal for snacking between meals or serving alongside your favorite dishes.

Ingredientes

  • 1 large bunch of kale
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil
  • A pinch of salt and pepper
  • Nutritional yeast flakes (optional, for a “cheesy” flavor)

Precalienta el horno a 130°C.

  1. Preheat the oven to 130°C (265°F).
  2. Wash and dry the kale leaves thoroughly. Remove the central stems and tear the leaves into medium-sized pieces.
  3. Season with olive oil, salt, pepper, and nutritional yeast. Massage with your hands to coat evenly.
  4. Place the leaves on a baking tray lined with parchment paper, in a single layer.
  5. Bake for 15–20 minutes, checking often to prevent burning.
  6. Let them cool before serving so they become crispier.

Air Fryer Preparation

  1. Preheat the air fryer to 140–150°C (285–300°F).
  2. Prepare the leaves as in the oven version (washed, dried, stems removed, seasoned).
  3. Place them in the basket in a single layer (cook in batches if necessary).
  4. Cook for 8–10 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through.
  5. Let them cool for a few minutes before serving: they will become even crispier.
